Clay Handbuilding @ Ceramics in the City

An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until January 26, 2023
During this fun and creative 4 week class, you will learn the basics of hand building.  You will learn techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction.  You will use our texturing tools to decorate surfaces and get creative with glazing.  Handbuilding is a freeform, meditative process and you’ll be able to use your skills to create a variety of objects like teacups, vases, bowls, planters, and small sculptures.
This class is perfect for those who have no prior experience with clay, as well as wheel throwers who would like to try something different. The fee for this course includes instruction, clay, tools, glazes, and firing.
Classes are two hours long and run for four consecutive weeks. We strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up.
Cancellation Policy
Please note that registration is a firm commitment to attend the class and there are no refunds. Instead you can RESCHEDULE for a different class up to 48 hours prior to the class start time through our website using the link found at the bottom of our website site called “reschedule my ticket“.  You can also have someone else you choose take your place!  We think your friends would love it.  There is no last minute rescheduling.  Thank you for your understanding.
