Garlic Keeper @ Ceramics in the City

Thursday April 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$45.00
Ceramic Garlic Holder

In this class, you will learn how to make a beautiful and functional ceramic garlic keeper using clay and your hands. The class will provide all the necessary materials, so all you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm.

During the class, you will be guided through the process of designing and molding the clay into a canister that will keep your garlic fresh and dry. You will learn some basic techniques for rolling, shaping, and smoothing the clay, as well as how to add decorative elements such as patterns or textures.

After the initial molding, your garlic keeper will need to be dried and then fired in a kiln. Once this process is complete, you will need to return to the studio to glaze your pottery. The glazing process will add a protective layer to your canister and give it a beautiful, glossy finish. You can choose from a variety of glaze colors to customize your garlic keeper and make it truly unique.

While this class is focused on creating a garlic keeper, the finished product can also be used to store other small items such as spices, jewelry, or office supplies. So even if you’re not a big fan of garlic, this class is still a great opportunity to learn a new skill and create something beautiful with your own hands.
